The first and only Slipknot bassist - Paul Gray AKA '#2' or 'Pig' as he was also know by his numerous fans was found dead in Iowa State, US earlier today. A postmortem examination is to be carried out very soon to determine the cause of death however police have not yet found any signs of foul play around the death of the 38-year-old musician.

One of the founding members of Slipknot back in mid 90's, he was loved by his fans, family and band members. Once the news has spread, thousands of twitterers posted "RIP" to Gray's profile. He is leaving behind his wife Brenna who is expecting the couple's first child and according to sources, the baby is due sometime in September. According to Brenna, they planned to name their daughter October Dedrick.

Fans on Twitter payed their respects by saying "Rest in peace, Paul Gray, keep on rockin' up there, we will miss you." It is a sad loss and our prayers go with him and to his family and friends.

Rest in Peace Paul!
