The prestigious Grand Canal Theatre, courtesy of business man Harry Crosbie, will open its doors to the public officially on March 18th 2010 with a 6 show run of the world renowned "Swan Lake" (Russian State Ballet). "We're being approached now daily by West End and International producers which will ensure that the Grand Canal Theatre will feature the best productions, which were unable to tour before in this country."*, stated Mr. Crosbie, and so far it's living up to the expectations with high class acts including: musicals, stand-up comedies and concerts of every genre to satisfy everyone's taste. Grand Canal Theatre has a remarkable 2,100 seat capacity and theatre's look will amaze even the biggest sceptic with it's 3-angle balcony point of view, or "The Circle", every spectator is guaranteed optimum enjoyment, thanks to Daniel Libeskind - architect. The colour schemes are well blended to create a peaceful and private ambience that the entire venue looks downright fantastic! But one small detail cannot go without mentioning. The Circle Club, similar to The O2's Blueroom, is Grand Canal Theatre's own private bar. Hidden behind the theatre's circle seating area (balcony level 1&2) is specifically designed for those who want a little more from their theatrical experience. I really don't think it can get better than that. So with all the analysis pretty much done, below is a list of Upcoming events at Dublin's newest venue:
